Feeding Therapy
We use a combination of programs to best work with children and families with feeding issues. The goal is to create a supportive environment, that allows the child to explore and develop those building blocks needed for functional eating while also working to remove the emotional stress around it.
We provide assessment and intervention services for individual needing:
- Expansion of limited or restricted diets
- Oral Motor development and feeding skills
- Development of consistent meal time routines
- Support with feeding that affects social participation
- Expansion of diets due to medically complex concerns
- Support around anxiety with new foods
- Emotional regulation with non-preferred or novel foods
We have experience in assessing and treating (not limited to):
- Sensory based Feeding Issues
- Feeding issues due to oral motor dysphasia
- Medically complex feeding disorders such as
- Laryngomalacia
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
- Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EOE)
- Mitochondrial disease
- Oral motor dysphasia
- Failure to thrive
